Two Hitachi Transport System Group companies (Hitachi Transport System Europe B.V and ESA Logistika) recently participated in the annual Breakbulk exhibition, which this year was held from 23-26 May in Antwerp, Belgium. The event was an excellent opportunity for our professionals from the Heavy & Project Cargo Department to explore the exhibition, which is the largest in the world focusing on the needs of traditional break-bulk and project cargo logistics.
Breakbulk 2016 also featured a high-end educational forum, where Mr. Satoshi Kurihara, Branch Manager of the Project and Heavy Cargo division for Hitachi Transport System Europe B.V., was given an exclusive opportunity to speak at one of the expert conference sessions. During a session organised by the European Association of Abnormal Road Transport and Mobile Cranes (ESTA) on the topic of ‘Oversized Transport Issues and Solutions for Europe’, Mr. Kurihara engaged in valuable discussions with other industry professionals concerning oversize transport, including the differing regulations and individual procedures in each country which impact the activities of Project Cargo logistics providers in Europe.
The annual Breakbulk exhibition is a highpoint in Hitachi Transport System Group’s calendar of European business networking activities each year. It allows us to connect with numerous exhibitors providing a range of specialised services, including ocean carriers, freight forwarders, ports/terminals, logistics providers, ground transportation, heavy air freight, export packers, equipment companies and more.
